I went to school in the south and our reunion trips typically revolve around a Texas football game. It wasn’t until I moved up to New York that I realized not all schools revolve around college football – a fact that took me a while to get used to.
So when I got the invite to pop up to Buffalo for a Loyola get together last weekend, scheduled around a Buffalo Bills game (Bills Mafia!!!… more on that later) I was excited to see what was in store. After kicking off the weekend at a couple bars (surprise, surprise) we started Saturday with a beer bike bar crawl. I’ve been on one of these shindigs in Austin, so I knew we were in for a good time. After pedaling over a treacherous bridge – I can take no credit for this, as I was sitting on the bench with no pedals (pictured below) – we cycled to and from four bars in Buffalo, stopping at each for 20-30 minutes and then moving on to the next location.
After a few hours and a couple bars later, we had a group dinner and called it a night for the early morning wake up call that would be Sunday morning for the Bills game… which deserves an entirely new post, so I’ll fill you in on that tomorrow.
